Pendant plusieurs mois, Dumontier et Lexier entretiennent une correspondance d'images en s'envoyant des scans de couvertures de livres, d'objets trouvés, de dessins et d'illustrations appartenant à la collection respective de chaque artiste. Le projet repose sur l'idée que leurs collections parlent de leurs affinités artistiques communes tout en informant leurs pratiques. Deux règles dictaient leur conduite : chaque image devait fonctionner comme un « appel » cherchant une « réponse » de l'autre artiste, et le dialogue devait se terminer lorsqu'une image rappelant l'image d'ouverture du projet émergeait, constituant ainsi une boucle narrative. Leur conversation a donné lieu à un livre co-édité par Nieves et Artexte.
